It was an incredible day in Bristol as we broke ground on another Habitat home!
This new construction on Thistle Street marks an important step toward our mission of building communities and empowering families by expanding access to affordable housing.
We were honored to be joined by Bucks County Commissioners Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Bob Harvie. Representative Tina Davis and our Board President, Michael Wilson, also offered remarks about the project, emphasizing its lasting impact on the community. Each speaker highlighted the value of our land trust model, an approach to homeownership that ensures this home, and all Habitat Bucks homes, will remain affordable for generations to come.
Strong partnerships are the foundation of strong communities, and this project is a beautiful example of that. Our team at Habitat Bucks is grateful for the confidence and support of our partners for this project, including the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County, the Bucks County Department of Housing & Community Development, the Commonwealth Financing Authority, M&T Bank, Parx Casino, and Woodside Church. We are also thankful to State Senator Steve Santarsiero, Representative Tina Davis, and all of our Bucks County legislators for their continued support. Their leadership helps make attainable housing projects like this possible.
