Habitat Bucks-30 Years of Impact
06.01.20 – 06.30.20
As we honor the milestone of 30 years in Bucks County, let’s pause to reflect upon the impact of our work. 120 homes built. 100+ residences repaired. 15MM pounds of reusable materials diverted from landfills. 30 years of coming together as a community to become stronger than we were before.
Together, we are engaged in truly transformational work. Every homeowner story reminds us of the significance of our mission and of the desperate need for the work that we do. Repeatedly, we see how a stable home leads to positive changes like improved physical and psychological health, better education outcomes and the ability to make forward-looking choices.
For every family we serve, there is another anxiously seeking that same kind of life-changing opportunity. This need is only growing in response to economic hardships triggered by the pandemic. At the same time, we’ve experienced revenue losses from the temporary closure of our ReStores and the cancellation of Hard Hats & High Heels, our annual benefit event.
Now, more than ever, we need to stay strong and ensure that our work will continue. Everyone deserves a decent place to live, and everyone can do something today to help make that possible for another family.
Your support, your voice and your belief in Habitat Bucks have been the building blocks of a 30-year legacy. They are also the blueprint for the next 30. Thank you!
