Rosalind’s Journey Home

Rosalind has been on a nearly forty-year journey home. During the last 27 years, she lived in subsidized public housing in multiple locations. Along the way she opened her heart to more than 300 foster children and adopted 12. In 2014, Rosalind saw a flyer for Habitat’s Homeownership program at the community center where she worked and she began the final leg of her journey home. She worked hard to improve her credit, started building up savings and purchased her home with an affordable mortgage.

Along with five of her children, Rosalind celebrated the dedication of their new Habitat home in July 2017.

Heather’s Story

Groundbreaking official start of five new homes!

The future homeowners of the second cluster of townhouses in the Penn Villa community gathered together to break ground on their new homes. Even the kids got in on the action! The celebration was made even more special with the Sellersville American Legion Color Guard and riders, and a helping hand with the shovels by Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick. Let the building begin!
