Women Build
Women Build is designed to create a community of women dedicated to changing society for the better. It aims to address the lack of affordable housing locally and globally, an issue which disproportionately affects women and children. All planning, fundraising and publicity for this program is done by women, empowering them to build by teaching them construction skills in a supportive environment.

Women Build Open House - Monday February 13, 2012 (snow date Feb. 20) at the Habitat Offices - 31 Oak Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914 - 6:30-8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
Meet one of our Habitat homeowners and hear her story, learn about our Women Build program, sign up for clinics and Build Days, get involved in our events, make new friends while you make a difference in Bucks County!
Steering Committee meets the second Monday of each month at the Habitat Offices at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! The next meeting will be February 6, 2012 to finalize plans for our Open House.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY PAT!
Mary Pat Holewinski celebrated her birthday on 11-11-11-- with family and friends and raised over $1800 for Women Build and Habitat Bucks! Her goal was to reach $1111.11 on 11-11-11 to be able to sponsor the next "A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS" project.
Mary Pat has been with Women Build and Habitat Bucks for 6 years. "Besides learning skills that have made me feel more confident and self-assured, I have also made some wonderful friends that both encourage and inspire me."

Second A Brush With Kindness project complete!
Women Builders once again stepped up with a sponsorship and volunteers to make our second A Brush With Kindness Project in Pipersville a huge success! They repaired the porch and siding, installed a new Bilco door and garage door, and helped with painting. Thank you one and all!

Get Involved
Opportunities to get involved in the Women Build program at Habitat Bucks are listed below - there's something for everyone!
- Serve on the steering committee (meets the 2nd Monday of every month, 6:30pm at the Habitat Bucks office).
- Attend construction training clinics hosted by Lowe’s
- Participate in a Service Days at one of the Habitat Communities in Upper, Central & lower Bucks
- Sign up for one of our Reduce, Recyle, ReStore clinics
- Help out with Girls Build events
- Assist with events like the Wine Tasting, Strawberry Festival and workshops
- Provide a lunch or breakfast during Build Events
- Plan and host your own fundraiser to benefit Women Build!
