| OUT AND ABOUT... |
|
|
Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County was included in a panel for the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Leadership Series on benefits of partnering with non-profits. It was a powerful discussion that illustrated the numerous ways giving back to your community can increase everything from media exposure, employee retention to living longer and healthier!
Women Build fever is spreading throughout the county!
Outreach Director Beth Adams and Women Builder Holli Sirianni presented on Jan. 28 to the Lambertville New Hope Rotary (pictured at right) and again on Feb. 25 with Women Builders, Jan Wheeler and Flo Kelly to the Souderton/Telford Business Professional Women's Club sharing the news and opportunities available as we kick off our Fourth Annual Women Build program.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Doylestown conducted midweek Lenten services with a soup supper in the parish hall followed by a service featuring a presentation by Sandy Mullican, of our Faith Relations Committee, and Beth Adams. The presentation topic was Habitat for Humanity's efforts in 2008 and included information on how to get involved -- from youth activities to Build Days!

It's about... Act! Give!
Share! Habitat Bucks is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization
that extends the opportunity to purchase simple, decent, affordable homes to
local families who would not otherwise have that chance. Three key resources
are necessary in order to make homeownership a reality for Habitat partner
families: funds, volunteers and advocacy. |
