Thrivent Build 2010 with Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County
In November 2009, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County was awarded one full home sponsorship by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for the 2010 calendar year. This project began in March 2010 with the goal to provide a decent, safe and affordable home for one low income family in Bucks County. Thrivent Builds unites Habitat for Humanity, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, local Lutheran churches, future homeowners, volunteers and many more for the purpose of building decent, affordable homes with those in need. Thrivent Financial For Lutherans have donated $93,000 towards a new home and building on this home has already begun on Liberator Street in Bristol. We are on our way to providing a home for a family in need, join us as we move forward in 2010!

Thrivent Builds 2010 groundbreaking ceremony held!
Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans recently broke ground on the homebuilding site on Liberator Street in Levittown. On hand for the groundbreaking were representatives from Lower Bucks Lutheran Churches, members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, leaders from local Lutheran Churches, and board and staff members from Habitat for Humanity. > You can read the whole story on our Press Releases webpage at http://habitatbucks.org/press_releases.htm.
Thrivent matches Lutheran Church
The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection recently collected a 5th Sunday offering to benefit Habitat Bucks and used the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans matching program to maximize their contribution. Following a brief presentation on the Habitat mission, $1,200 was raised in donations! Thanks to Thrivent, that will become $1,600 towards our mission. We are grateful to Sandy Mullican, who organized the presentation, and to all the members of this congregation for their support!
Sucess in 2006
Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County and Thrivent Builds joined forces in 2006 to provide two homes for worthy Habitat Partner Families. With the support of our local Lutheran Community we made a difference! Thanks to all who supported us small or large!
Support and Participation
Thrivent Builds encourages the local Lutheran community to participate by helping to build, donating money for materials, providing lunches at the work site for hungry construction volunteers and praying about the Habitat mission.
