Partnership Overview
Foundations Community Partnership partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Bucks Count with a $10,000 grant. This funding will support the Family Programs aspect of Habitat Bucks work, which includes budgeting and homeownership workshops as well as advocates for each Habitat partner family.
Our partners make things happen! Throughout the year, Habitat for Humanity works together with companies and organizations all over Bucks County to build affordable houses with people in need. Our partners give us funding and in turn our Habitat homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called “sweat equity, into building their houses and the houses of others. Partner families then purchase their home with an at-cost, no- or low-interest mortgage.
Three key resources are necessary in order to make this distinctive homeownership program a reality for families in our community:
- Volunteers - ACT
- Funds - GIVE
- Advocacy - SHARE
Each home Habitat for Humanity builds in Bucks County requires:
- A commitment of 2000 volunteer hours (Act!)
- Financial contributions averaging $4,250 per day (Give!)
- The dedication of innumerable individuals speaking on behalf of the program (Share!)
Habitat for Humanity relies strictly on the generosity and commitment of neighbors and partner families to provide these resources, and the partnership opportunities on this page provide the most effective way for businesses and organizations to do so.
As a business leader, we understand that you want to support charitable causes which:
- Make a difference and are successful
- Support your business goals
- Are recognized in the community
Habitat for Humanity understands this need for a mutually beneficial relationship and works to identify and establish truly one-of-a-kind partnerships. Because we have a wide variety of engaging and exciting programs in Bucks County, we are uniquely positioned to tailor every partnership to reach its member’s specific goals.
As a partner, you are aligning yourself with one of the most powerful brands in the world. Habitat for Humanity’s brand value rose to $3.1 billion in 2006, a 72 percent increase since 2001. More than just a name or logo, a brand is a relationship in which value (revenue, loyalty, verbal support, etc.) is exchanged for tangible and intangible benefits, such as the satisfaction of helping a family build a decent house. Currently, some of Habitat’s strongest brand attributes include:
- The mission to provide affordable housing
- The tangible nature of our work
- The potential for personal involvement
Habitat for Humanity’s brand impacts its house-building effectiveness in important ways: It communicates key attributes and differentiates it from competitors; it attracts volunteers and reinforces the experience; and it increases marketing efficiency.
Habitat for Humanity knows that our partners are leaders in the mission to eliminate substandard housing in our neighborhoods, and takes every opportunity to recognize them as such. We’ve developed two types of partnership opportunities, Program Partner and Build Day Partner, detailed on our Sponsorship Opportunities page, which will help you to determine what type and level is best suited for you and your organization.
