Aaron and Cheryl Mitchell of Aaron Mitchell Photography documented the Home Dedication ceremony on April 23. They were generous enough to donate their time and talent, and what an incredible talent it is! Be sure to check them out at http://aaronmitchellphotography.com/.
During the ceremony, staff, neighbors, donors, volunteers and homeower families welcomed the Zander Family, the Burgos-Heredia Family (pictured) and the Kuremsky Family into the Emerald Hollow community.

Habitat for Humanity recently joined Flickr, a photo-sharing website that will allow us to store, sort, search and share photos online. Flickr will not only help us organize and share photos of site build days and special events here at Habitat, but will also give our friends and supporters another way to see what we're up to.

"A few families in Bucks County now have the keys to a brand new place to call home. Habitat for Humanity has finished construction on three houses in Quakertown. Thursday night, the families and volunteers got together for a dedication ceremony at Emerald Hollow. Community members also donated food to help the families get settled."

International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) presented their annual donation to Habitat on March 11th. Janet Stevenson, Chapter President, and Ellen Cohen, Chapter Advisor, were here to present the check. Not only does IFDA make an annual donation, they will volunteer their time helping us to plant trees this spring at Emerald Hollow and help spread the word about Habitat and our ReStore throughout their membership. Thank you for all you do!

"The Habitat for Humanity Re-Store in Chalfont is a do-it-yourselfer's dream-come-true. The warehouse-sized thrift store is filled with hardware, building supplies, furniture, appliances and all sorts of knick-knacks," Says Amy Buckman of Channel 6.

Millard Fuller founded Habitat for Humanity in 1976 in Americus, Ga. Mr. Fuller served as the organization’s leader for 29 years.
Habitat for Humanity is deeply saddened by the death of Millard Fuller, the visionary whose ideas and tireless work created Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Fuller led Habitat from its founding in 1976 until his separation from the organization and his founding of the Fuller Center for Housing in 2005. He died early today, Feb. 3, following a brief illness. He was 74.
“Millard Fuller was a force of nature who turned a simple idea into an international organization that has helped more than 300,000 families move from deplorable housing into simple, decent homes they helped build and can afford to buy and live in,” said Jonathan Reckford, chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity International. “The entire Habitat family mourns the loss of our founder, a true giant in the affordable housing movement. Our prayers are with the entire Fuller family.”
