The
charitable arm of the Philadelphia Chapter of the International
Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), a professional alliance
of leaders representing the diverse industries that constitute
the universe of residential and commercial furnishings and design,
presented a $3,500 to Habitat for humanity of Bucks County. The
contribution will go toward completing the second phase in construction
of the Emerald Hollow community.
"We are delighted to partner with Habitat in this exceptional
community," said Ellen Cohen, Chapter President of IFDA.
"IFDA has been linking the Furnishings and Design industry
since 1947 and each year earmarks Chapter funds for a special
charity. This is an important project and an important organization
and we look to make contributions that enrich our community in
this way."

Neshaminy
Mall Partnership
Habitat has entered an exciting new partnership with the Neshaminy
Mall! They have selected Habitat for Humanity as their charitable
partner for the next three years and will be holding several fundraising
events to benefit us throughout the year. Over Mother’s Day
weekend, a small house was built at the mall and decorated with
paper cutouts of families representing the number of families in
need of affordable housing throughout Bucks County. For $1, mall
patrons could remove a family and sign their name on the house frame,
symbolic of removing someone from substandard housing. The event
raised $315 to benefit Habitat Bucks, and we are very excited about
the future of this partnership! |
