Faith Relations
Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County brings individuals, families and communities together to build affordable homes with those in need. Founded in Christian principles which call on all people regardless of religious preference or cultural background to make safe, simple, affordable housing a matter of conscience and action in Bucks County.
Episcopal Church Build
Thanks go out to 13 Episcopal Churches for working together to support the construction of four townhomes on Colonial Avenue in Bristol. Those homes were dedicated in June, 2011 and our four families have moved in. Nearly $20,000 was raised by these churches and the impact was tremendous.
What's next? We hope to break ground in mid-September on our next project, also in Bristol. This will be a four-bedroom ranch on Watson Avenue and we need your help! We welcome church groups to come out and volunteer, and we need your financial support as well. What a perfect way to put faith into action! Faith in Action
Youth United Advisory Committee
We recently formed a Youth Advisory Committee to help us formulate strategies to engage more youth in Habitat's mission to build decent and affordable homes here in Bucks County. We will be launching a "Nickels for Nails" project in schools and youth groups throughout Bucks County this fall and welcome your participation. If you want more information about "Nickels for Nails" or want to get involved, please contact Debbie Lynch at 215.822.2812 x.316 or e-mail at d.lynch@habitatbucks.org
Our 2009 Youth Faith Build Day was great!
Youth Faith Build was a day set aside for students ages 16-22 to come together and build a home, a future and their faith. Check out the pictures at: www.flickr.com/photos/25970211@N06/sets/72157621904586446/!

“One of the signs of a healthy congregation is that members can look beyond themselves and look toward others. I think Habitat provides an excellent way to do that.
